Burns McFarland, a native of Bay Springs, Mississippi, is the founder and president of Health One, Inc. Formerly Chief Counsel of the law firm representing the Vanderbilt Medical Center Business Office, he has over 20 years of experience as an attorney in the healthcare industry representing numerous hospitals around the country. As founder of Health One, Inc. he directly oversees all corporate activity, and has since the company's inception. As president, he works closely with in-house counsel, CEO, and executive personnel, as well as staff as needed. He is well-respected for his close inter-staff relationships, inspirational leadership, and ability to moderate executive and staff matters. Mr. McFarland is directly responsible for all client outreach, which he closely coordinates with the director of marketing and research and other executive personnel. Manager of several corporate sites, he also travels nationally with executive personnel for purposes of client outreach, account management and on-site resolution of any special client situations or matters.

Among his success of establishing the innovative consulting firm, he is also accomplished in law, health care and athletics. McFarland is author of two books, A Spiritual Dance with Romance and Living Tomorrow's Dream Today.

James Beatty, Jr., General In-House Counsel

James Beatty, Jr. has more than eight years of experience as General In-House Counsel at Health One, Inc. Mr. Beatty is responsible for legal operations in all arenas where Health One, Inc. does business. He also reviews and negotiates corporate contracts on an ongoing basis with the president. Along with the president and CEO, he assists clients with compliance for Medicare/Medicaid regulations and HIPPA, as well as all regulatory matters. Mr. Beatty evaluates underlying personal injury actions where the hospital's interests are secured and protected under the Health One, Inc. program. Formerly a Clerk for the Third Judicial District Court in Louisiana, Mr. Beatty was in private practice in a general litigation firm prior to being retained by Health One, Inc. He is licensed to practice law in both Mississippi and Louisiana and admitted in both Federal and State Courts.

Anna Ryan McFarland, Director of Finance

Anna Ryan McFarland, Director of Finance, has worked exclusively with Health One, Inc. and other family-run companies for over seven years. She is located in Nashville, Tennessee, and oversees all internal and external finance and accounting. Ms. McFarland works closely with the president of the company on a daily basis on all corporate financial matters. She is responsible for all national accounts and monitors incoming and outgoing payments in conjunction with the CEO and Corporate and Claims Manager.

Robert McFarland, Corporate Claims Manager

Robert McFarland, Corporate Claims Manager, has worked exclusively with Health One, Inc. and other family-run companies for over 6 years. He manages all corporate activity with executive personnel. He also coordinates financial, claims and accounting matters with the finance and accounting manager. Mr. McFarland oversees all claims activity with the Claims Analyst Supervisor and works closely with the CEO as well as president of the company on a daily basis on corporate and claims matters.

Robert Hall, Claims Analyst Supervisor

Robert Hall, Claims Analyst Supervisor, has spent 16 years with Health One, Inc. coordinating in-house payment of claims by staff analysts. In addition to overseeing daily employee workloads and scheduling, he heads the committee that promptly responds to any questions a particular analyst or client might have. Working closely with counsel, he is able to facilitate special requests or assist in the resolution of unique situations that may arise. Additionally, he oversees all weekly and monthly reports for in-house as well as client and insurance company purposes. Mr. Hall coordinates all corporate and claims matters with the corporate and claims managers, all staff activity with the CEO, financial matters with the finance and accounting manager, and works closely with all other executives of the company as needed.

Chad Hoekstra, Director of Research

Chad Hoekstra is Director of Research. He is responsible for the ongoing corporate performance assessment, data collection, research on special projects, as well as involvement in the development of marketing strategies. He also reviews and analyzes all corporate reports and programs and reports directly to the president and executive personnel on marketing, research and performance study matters.

Mark Zwart, Director of Training and Implementation

Mark Zwart, Director of Training and Implementation, is also the on-site representative for hospitals in Ohio currently under contract. Mr. Zwart manages these accounts and is responsible for on-site training of hospital staff and operations problem-solving as needed. Mr. Zwart reports directly to, and communicates regularly with, the president, CEO and Claims Analyst Supervisor.

Max Alvis, Public Relations

Max Alvis, former All-star third baseman for the Cleveland Indians and President of First National Bank in Jasper, Texas, is in charge of public relations and publicity, and is very much involved in recent expansion efforts in Iowa, Ohio and elsewhere. Reporting directly to the president, he also serves as consultant on corporate outreach matters, and, like the entire executive team, is integrally involved in the successful implementation of the Health One, Inc. system in each new facility.
